Our collaboration with the City of Murrieta culminated in multiple areas of energy-saving, including solar-powered implementations, and a new, brighter look to streets with Antara lights.
In 2009, the City of Murrieta sought to upgrade its aging Metal Halide light fixtures, which were inefficient and required frequent maintenance at various city facilities, including the city hall building, police department, library, and parks. The city aimed to implement the latest LED lighting technology and awarded the contract to our former company, Synergy MT, which later became Antara Lighting.
Our military-grade LED fixtures were installed, delivering on their promise of durability, superior illumination, and significantly reduced maintenance costs.
As of June 2024, these same lights remain fully operational, demonstrating their longevity and efficiency. Over the years, we have collaborated with the city on multiple projects, providing them with the flexibility to test various lighting solutions before finalizing purchases.
Among these projects, the city successfully implemented our mini commercial bulbs as a simple retrofit solution for parks. Most recently, in 2025, they replaced all existing low-pressure sodium fixtures in the downtown areas with 3000K 18W commercial bulbs, resulting superior illumination, better coverage and safety.
Additionally, the city tested our solar-powered fixture at Alderwood Park, which received highly positive feedback, particularly from the police department. Officers appreciated its smart functionality—brightening when motion is detected and dimming when the area is vacant. This fixture proved easy to install and provided excellent lighting where traditional power sources were unavailable.
Furthermore, another version of our LED solar fixture was installed at the fire department, delivering outstanding performance.
Through our ongoing partnership, the City of Murrieta continues to benefit from our innovative, cost-effective, and sustainable lighting solutions.
By installing our 18W 3000K commercial bulbs, replacing all of the old LPS bulbs, we were able to give the downtown Murrieta area a much newer, brighter look – all while saving the city energy costs.

Antara Solar fixtures were installed at Alderwood Park and our 100W solar LEDs were installed at one of the city’s fire stations.
In collaboration with the City of Murrieta’s Public Works Department, we installed new LED street and safety lights for major intersections.
