A combination of outdoor and indoor lighting set the stage of a refresh for CBS/TV City studios’ LED lights that provided superior output, less maintenance, and less consumption.
Since 1915, Raleigh Studios has been a staple of Hollywood and is known for their sound stages, which Antara helped bring up-to-date when it comes to interior and stage lighting.
Around 2015, CBS Studios reached out to a trusted colleague, who recommended us, to address ongoing lighting issues they were facing. The studio had been using fluorescent T8 tubes, which led to inconsistent lighting and posed problems such as discoloration of wardrobe merchandise due to ultraviolet (UV) exposure.
During our initial walkthrough, it became evident that they required a more effective solution. We recommended our custom-built 8-foot linear fixtures with a high Color Rendering Index (CRI), which immediately made a noticeable difference. The lighting coverage improved significantly, and these fixtures continue to perform flawlessly without any issues.
In addition to the studio lighting, we upgraded their outdated office and hallway fixtures to sleek panel lights that seamlessly integrated into the ceiling, offering superior illumination. We also custom-built high-quality studio fixtures tailored to their exact specifications, providing a significant cost savings compared to the inferior alternatives they had been using.
For their large billboards, we advised switching from 1000W metal halide bulbs to 150W directional mogul E39 commercial bulbs, which has proven to be an excellent and effective transition.
Over the years, we have outfitted CBS Studios with lighting solutions for canopies, parking lots, bathrooms, and various other spaces using our wide range of products.
A few years later, management requested our expertise for their sister studio, Raleigh-Melrose. Impressed by the performance and quality of our products and services, they wanted similar high-bay fixtures for their sound stages. We have since provided additional lighting solutions for their billboards, parking structures, and other areas, further solidifying our long-term partnership.
Replaced were this lot’s old metal halide fixtures with new LED fixtures, reducing electricity consumption while providing superior lighting with no maintenance.
Replacement of 1000W metal halide bulbs with Antara selectable 150W front-facing mogul mounted LED commercial light bulbs. This produced superior output with zero maintenance and reduced consumption.
This studio’s older LED lights were replaced with our own custom-built COB high bay lights utilizing high CRI for accuracy and 3150K CCT.
CBS/TV City Studios’ outdated and energy-draining canopy fixtures were done away with, and were replaced with our LED-powered canopy lights.
Replacement of all interior fluorescent lighting with Antara custom-built 8-foot linear lighting and high quality 2×2 LED panel lights created a seamless and conducive workplace environment.
Several of our new LED shoebox lights were installed to adorn the exterior of the CBS building.
New 4-foot linear LED fixtures were installed, along with LED panels replacing the building’s old and inefficient fluorescent fixtures in all stairwells and bathrooms.
